With “In Formation”, Maria-Elena Torres-Padilla demonstrates how science can resonate beyond the lab and engage society in new ways.

From July 5–8, 2026, the Muffatwerk in Munich will host “In Formation,” an exhibition initiated by NUCLEATE PI Maria-Elena Torres-Padilla, Director at Helmholtz Munich, highlighting her strong commitment to public engagement in science. Bringing together four international artists and stem cell researchers, the project translates complex epigenetics and stem cell biology into tangible, sensory installations. Through this initiative, Torres-Padilla continues to champion interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative formats that open scientific discovery to broader audiences.
